Faces of Service: Get to Know Your Local Responder

We’re bringing back our “Meet the Responder” series!

This week we shine the spotlight on Ben, an RAF Regiment Gunner based at RAF Waddington.

After serving 21 years in the RAF, he has now been responding with Lincolnshire Emergency Medical Response as a military responder for over 2 years.

Ben said "In that time, I’ve seen first hand the difference we can make — whether it’s providing urgent first aid or simply being there when someone needs support.

It’s been an incredible opportunity to put my skills into practice, work alongside dedicated volunteers, and give back to communities across Lincolnshire. I’m grateful to continue serving, this time closer to home".

Ben is just one of over 30 volunteers currently responding with LEMR. Through our ‘Meet the Responder’ series, we’ll introduce you to the team and showcase the incredible variety of ‘day jobs’ they balance while volunteering to support EMAS and the people of Lincolnshire.
